In order to fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the Second Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, accelerate the
implementation of major national projects in traditional Chinese medicine, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a work conference
on May 30 to promote the implementation of major national projects in traditional Chinese medicine under the "14th Five-Year Plan" . Party member and
Deputy Director-General of the Administration, Wang Zhiyong, attended the conference and delivered a speech.
Wang Zhiyong pointed out that local authorities and departments should give greater recognition to the importance of vigorously promoting the implementation
of major national projects in traditional Chinese medicine, clarify their respective responsibilities, and establish a comprehensive work promotion mechanism
that covers all aspects horizontally and vertically. They should make every effort to implement the project and ensure that the tasks are carried out to completion;
they should strengthen internal management, set deadlines and implement the project on a map, make full use of various support mechanisms and policies,
and ensure the successful investment in the project; they should coordinate the construction of major national projects with the preparation of the "15th Five-Year Plan",
strengthen research, accelerate the implementation progress, and quickly form tangible work volume and enhance business capacity building.
The conference was held via video link, with the responsible officials from the relevant departments of traditional Chinese medicine in each province
(autonomous region, municipality), the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Health Commission, and the main responsible officials of each project unit
of the major national projects in traditional Chinese medicine, as well as the main responsible officials of relevant departments of the Administration, attending
the conference.
